Working at The University of Texas at Arlington’s newspaper, The Shorthorn, I look back at the experience fondly. It allowed me to brainstorm, and to work alongside a team, to bring illustrative ideas to life. The pace was very quick and on occasion I’d be working on multiple pieces at once! I’d always make sure to hit the deadline, even if it meant finishing my class work early to continue an illustration in the remaining portion of my classes.
