Aelita_Hopper Productions

Back in 2005 is when I got my start making digital artwork and designs. It started with the creation of my XANGA blog site (Xanga.com/Aelita_Hopper). I taught myself a variety of things such as website design/coding, video editing, graphic art and gif animating. My main topic of choice was Code Lyoko. I have been in the Code Lyoko community creating works for 19+ years. A large bulk of my portfolio is the things I have edited along the way. I go by a number of pseudonyms - but they all are branched under “Aelita_Hopper Productions” which was named after my XANGA url. Currently, I go by the name “Aelita D’Agostino” that is a mix of Aelita from the show and Gigi D’Agostino (my favourite song artist). Below are some chosen pieces of work that I have edited of my favourite TV show, Code Lyoko. None of my works have ever made me any sort of profit they are all done out of pure love for the TV Show, respect and to help keep the show and the community alive!

Code Lyoko • 21 Years (2024)

On September 3rd, 2003 - Code Lyoko aired it’s first episode in France. Code Lyoko has turned 21 years old! It is hard to believe the show I grew up watching and have been making videos to for the past 19 years - is currently 21 years old! Happy Birthday to Code Lyoko! This video is a tribute to the show and all who have watched it. A tribute to the community, CodeLyoko.fr, and all of the creators. The song used is the Code Lyoko theme song remixed in the style of Benny Benassi - by the wonderful Kikou (a fantastic core member of the community). As we enter the age of Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality, and economical changes… we cannot forget the roots as technology advances and the ideas and theories of life and existence created along the way - Tron, The Matrix and Code Lyoko! Where it all began. May we live in A World Without Danger!

Love Me Like You Do (2021)

One of the very few videos I managed to edit when the world changed during COVID in 2021. I used music by Ellie Goulding this time. This video I showcases the newer things I’ve learned such as video text masking, glitch effects, RGB distortion and video shake and movement.

Eternity (2017)

A vast majority of my videos I found inspiration in music from Owl City. This particular song Adam Young collaborated with another of my favorite trance music artists, Paul Van Dyk. This video still remains one of my favorites I’ve edited. Always whimsical by nature, this song takes a turn into a technological dubstep realm - back when dubstep was hitting the U.S. EDM scene.

Boom Clap! (2015)

A 40 second edited video I did using scenes from Code Lyoko and Code Lyoko Evolution of Ulrich Stern (played by Quentin Merabet) and Yumi Ishiyama (Mélanie Tran-Quan) to Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap!” One of the prime examples of some super short form editing content. Short, sweet and to the point with dynamic lyrics included.
